Seneca County is inviting proposals for programs addressing opioid use and misuse after securing funds from a statewide settlement. The county’s Board of Supervisors directed Community Services Director Margaret Morse to issue requests for proposals (RFPs) during its Nov. 12 meeting.
The funding, provided through the state Attorney General’s office, will be available annually for several years.
Eligible programs must focus on opioid-related issues, avoid duplicating existing funding, and be accessible to community-based groups without requiring state addiction services certification. Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with awards contingent on funding availability.
