Williamson woman arrested for domestic violence and property damage

A Williamson woman has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a victim and damaging property during a domestic dispute, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Deputies identified the suspect as Stacy L. Sawyer, 46. Sawyer faces charges including Harassment in the Second Degree, two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, and Criminal Contempt in the First Degree. Investigators allege she struck a victim in the face, damaged the center console screen of a vehicle, and bent the vehicle key, rendering it unusable.

The investigation revealed Sawyer’s actions violated a current order of protection against her. She was taken to the Wayne County Jail and awaits CAP arraignment. Further proceedings will take place in Ontario Town Court.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to remind residents of the importance of complying with court orders to protect the safety and wellbeing of all individuals.
