Northbound lanes of Route 13 were temporarily closed Thursday evening after a car caught fire near the Cayuga Heights Road exit. The incident occurred on the hill between Stewart Park and North Triphammer Road, causing significant traffic disruptions.
Lansing firefighters extinguished the blaze, allowing one lane to reopen before full traffic resumed around 9:30 p.m. According to the Lansing Fire Department, the fire was one of eight service calls they handled that day.
