Bristol leaders to meet Tuesday to discuss exceeding tax cap

The Bristol Town Board will convene a public hearing on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. to consider Local Law #3-2024, which proposes overriding the state-mandated tax levy limit for the 2025 budget. Residents are invited to attend the hearing at the Bristol Town Hall, 6740 County Road 32, or participate virtually via Zoom.

Following the public hearing, the board will proceed with its regular meeting agenda, which includes reviewing and approving previous meeting minutes, authorizing bill payments, and discussing budget transfers and monthly reports from various departments, including Parks, Zoning, and Highway.

Notable agenda items include the adoption of Local Law #3-2024, a discussion on a new intermunicipal agreement for court security, the appointment of a Local Health Officer, and renewal of the CEO agreement with the Town of Hopewell. The board will also hold an executive session before adjournment.
