Federal agencies, including the DEA and CDC, have raised concerns about these illegal sites, which sell pills that may contain dangerous substances like fentanyl or methamphetamine.
Residents are advised to avoid online pharmacies that don’t require a doctor’s prescription, lack U.S. licensing, or offer unusually low prices.
To verify if an online pharmacy is licensed, consumers can check resources on the FDA’s website at fda.gov.
