Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Penn Yan man on Thursday following a domestic incident involving a juvenile in the Town of Torrey. Thomas L. McCann, 35, faces charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, and Harassment in the 2nd Degree.
Deputies responded to a residence on Route 14 at approximately 9:13 a.m. after a report of a juvenile-related complaint. Upon investigation, authorities determined that McCann had allegedly subjected a juvenile to unwanted physical contact and caused property damage within the home.
McCann was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Jail, where he awaits arraignment in CAP Court.
