A Canandaigua man faces multiple criminal contempt charges after allegedly violating four active orders of protection, according to police.
Charles R. Laplant, 37, was arrested on October 26 at 8:10 p.m. after police received a report that he had entered a residence in violation of a court-issued stay-away order.
An investigation revealed that Laplant allegedly entered the home of an individual who held an active order of protection against him. Three additional people present at the residence also had active stay-away orders of protection against Laplant.
Laplant was charged with four counts of criminal contempt in the second degree. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
