The Town of Tyre announced it has transitioned its official website to a new .gov domain, a move aimed at enhancing security and transparency for residents and visitors. Effective immediately, the town’s official website can be accessed at www.tyreny.gov. The previous address, www.tyreny.com, will automatically redirect users to the new domain.
Alongside the website transition, Tyre has updated its official email addresses to the .gov domain, with emails sent to the former @tyreny.com addresses temporarily redirecting to the new @tyreny.gov accounts.
The transition follows federal recommendations from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which advocates for local governments to adopt .gov domains to help the public recognize official government resources. Only verified government entities can use .gov domains, offering a secure communication channel for local governments.
For additional details, residents can visit the town’s updated website or contact Town Supervisor Elizabeth L. Partee at (315) 835-0206 or supervisor@tyreny.gov.
