A Cayuga County town justice was charged with driving while intoxicated after a Saturday morning traffic stop by New York State Police.
Lucas H. Ferrin, 42, of Port Byron, who serves as justice for the town of Conquest, was pulled over around 1:45 a.m. on State Street Road in Mentz, according to officials. He’d previously been charged with DWI in 2012.
After initially refusing to exit his vehicle, Ferrin was assisted out by troopers and declined to perform field sobriety tests.
Police charged him with DWI, obstruction of governmental administration, and several traffic violations. He was taken to Cayuga County Jail for arraignment at CAP court.
