Members of the Sennett Fire Department toured Owens-Illinois’ glass manufacturing facility on County House Road to learn about the plant’s new furnace, which recently became operational. The visit, held last evening, allowed firefighters to familiarize themselves with the facility’s updated layout and response needs, enhancing preparedness for potential emergencies.
In the past, Sennett Fire has responded to a range of incidents at the facility, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, and glass leaks. “By working closely with our community partners, we can ensure better outcomes if an emergency arises,” the department shared.
Sennett Fire expressed appreciation to Owens-Illinois staff for their time and hospitality.
