Cayuga County is launching a new voting site at the Fingerlakes Mall to streamline the voting process and boost turnout.
Located at the former Jo Ann Fabrics, this site allows any county resident to cast their vote there, regardless of their usual polling location.
Election officials highlighted the need for the new site, anticipating high turnout and hoping to ease the burden on the county’s 31 other locations, according to reporting by The Citizen.
The Fingerlakes Mall location will be open for early voting and Election Day, providing a flexible, one-stop shop for all voters in the area.
