Auburn City Council followed through on what many expected to take place last night appointing Jennifer Haines as its first female city manager.
She’s dedicated more than 30 years to the city, leading the planning and economic development departments.
She will succeed Jeff Dygert, who is set to retire in mid-2025.
Haines first step will be to become assistant city manager effective January 1, 2025. She will remain in that role through her start date, which is expected to be in June.
Local officials past-and-present praised City Council’s move.
