It’s unclear how the situation ended, but an apparent standoff took place on Wolcott Spring Lake Road in Wayne County late-Wednesday.
Scanner traffic indicated that the road was shut down at both ends for a span of hours as first responders were at the scene.
A subject was reportedly threatening to burn down a home and set himself on fire, according to scanner reports.
Local fire departments assisted law enforcement at the scene.
