Fulton woman charged with criminal mischief after domestic incident in Sterling

A Fulton woman was arrested earlier this month following a domestic incident in Sterling involving property damage, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.

Haley J. Sellin was taken into custody after deputies were dispatched to a reported physical altercation outside a residence on the evening of Oct. 8. The suspects had already fled the scene by the time deputies arrived, but an investigation revealed that Sellin had intentionally used a rock to break a residential window during the altercation, Sheriff Brian Schenck said.

With assistance from Cayuga County 911, Oswego County 911, and the Fulton Police Department, authorities were able to locate Sellin and place her under arrest. She was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

Sellin was transported to the Cayuga County Public Safety Building for processing and later released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Sterling Court at a future date.
