A man was discovered dead inside a vehicle submerged in a pond in Horseheads after New York State Police responded to a burglary report on Saturday night.
The incident occurred on Prospect Hill Road, where authorities found signs of damage at a residence and tire tracks leading across the lawn toward the pond.
The victim, later identified as 84-year-old William Olin of Beaver Dams, was found inside the vehicle.
