During the October 17 City Council meeting, Auburn Mayor Jimmy Giannettino presented a proclamation to Cyndi Vasile, a representative of Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca, in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
To mark the occasion, Auburn’s Memorial City Hall bell tower will be illuminated in purple throughout October to raise awareness for the cause.
CAP’s Domestic Violence Hotline is available 24/7 at 315-255-6221 for anyone in need of assistance.
The city encourages individuals to spread awareness and remind those affected that they are not alone.
