South Seneca Central School District received a significant donation from Seneca Meadows landfill, aimed at supporting both the athletics and school attendance programs. The funds will cover annual student-athlete awards, marking the third consecutive year Seneca Meadows has contributed to the athletics program.
The donation will fund the “Cocoa and Conversation” initiative, which provides a space for high school students to meet twice a week, and middle school students twice a month, to discuss various topics over hot cocoa.
“These contributions enhance our students’ experiences and strengthen the sense of community within our school,” said High School Principal Sarah Horton. Athletic Director Tim Crane also expressed gratitude, noting Seneca Meadows’ continued partnership in supporting student programs.
