A teenager is facing a criminal mischief charge after allegedly damaging a vehicle’s windshield during a domestic incident in Cayuga County, the sheriff’s office said.
Ava B. Brier, 18, was arrested on October 10 after deputies responded to reports of a disturbance involving a vehicle traveling on Franklin Street Road, near the Auburn city line, in the Town of Sennett, according to Sheriff Brian Schenck. Investigators determined Brier, who was a passenger in the car, recklessly kicked the windshield, causing damage.
Brier was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. She was taken to the Cayuga County Public Safety Building, where she was arraigned in CAP Court and released on her own recognizance.
