The Buffalo Bills announced Tuesday that they released wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling from the 53-man roster.
The move came after the team finalized a trade to acquire wideout Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns.
Valdes-Scantling, who signed a one-year, $2.25 million contract with Buffalo this past offseason, had just two catches for 26 yards with the Bills and wasn’t on the field very much.
Cooper joins a wide receiver room that includes Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, and Mack Hollins.
