A standoff in the Town of Sterling ended peacefully on Oct. 10 after police responded to a domestic violence incident involving a court protection order violation.
Zachary T. Ermini, 29, of Oswego, was taken into custody after deputies discovered he was in violation of a full stay-away order.
The victim had fled to a neighbor’s home, and deputies established a perimeter around the residence before negotiating Ermini’s surrender.
He was charged with criminal contempt and aggravated family offense and was released on bail after arraignment​.
