A Village of Sodus man has been charged with driving while impaired by drugs following a crash in the town, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies arrested 25-year-old Kenneth O. Kommer on September 6 after responding to a property damage motor vehicle crash at 300 Alling Drive in Sodus.
Investigators allege that Kommer was impaired while driving at the time of the incident. After failing field sobriety tests, he was also charged with driving on a suspended license, failure to keep right, and other traffic violations, including crossing a double yellow line.
Kommer was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
