Mercy Flight Central’s annual “Night of Flight” fundraiser proved to be a resounding success, raising more than $200,000 to support its mission of delivering critical air medical services across Upstate New York.
Held on Sept. 28 at Mercy Flight Central’s headquarters, the event drew more than 120 attendees who participated in interactive demonstrations and simulations. Guests were given an up-close look at the organization’s newest helicopter, the AW119MKII, which features advanced medical and aviation technology to improve the care provided by the air medical team.
“The Night of Flight was an incredible success, and we are deeply grateful to all who attended, donated, and support our mission,” said Jeff Bartkoski, president and CEO of Mercy Flight Central. “These funds will help us continue providing life-saving care to patients, regardless of their financial situation.”
Bartkoski credited the event’s sponsors, volunteers, and staff for their dedication in organizing the fundraiser, emphasizing that the proceeds will directly benefit Mercy Flight Central’s operations. The funds raised will ensure that the organization can continue its 24/7 emergency services, staffed by highly trained pilots, paramedics, and nurses.
In addition to generating significant financial support, the event highlighted the critical work performed by Mercy Flight Central’s crews, raising awareness of their vital role in providing emergency air transport to patients in dire need.
Mercy Flight Central expressed its appreciation to all participants and donors, acknowledging their contributions to the success of the Night of Flight and their support in continuing the organization’s life-saving efforts.
