Auburn City Council will soon begin the process of finding a replacement for City Manager Jeff Dygert, who announced earlier this year that he will not renew his contract, which expires in June 2025.
Officials say the planning process will begin next week with an executive session.
Dygert, who has served as city manager since 2016, notified the council in April of his decision. His successor may be hired as early as January 2025, with a budget provision in place to ensure a smooth transition.
