A Seneca Falls man has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property following an investigation into a theft earlier this year, police said.
Dejon O. Butler, 25, was arrested on Monday morning after authorities determined he was in possession of items linked to a theft that occurred on June 28, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department. Butler was located and taken into custody in nearby Waterloo.
Butler faces two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, both class A misdemeanors. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court to respond to the charges.
No further details about the stolen property or the original theft were immediately available.
