The Town of Cohocton will receive $1.46 million in federal funding for a water infrastructure project aimed at improving water quality, Congressman Nick Langworthy announced.
The funds, awarded through the USDA Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Program, will help address the town’s water management issues.
The project will replace aging water distribution lines to enhance water pressure, reduce service disruptions, and minimize contamination risks. The total cost of the project is $3.6 million, with the remaining funding coming from local entities to ensure its successful completion.
