A local man has been arrested in connection with a fire that investigators say was deliberately set in a vacant apartment on Ransom Street. The fire broke out around 3 p.m. on Thursday and was quickly extinguished.
Hornell Police arrested 27-year-old Denzel Brantley on Monday, charging him with arson and two counts of reckless endangerment. Authorities determined that the fire had been intentionally ignited in the rear apartment of the building.
No injuries were reported, and Brantley is currently awaiting arraignment in CAP court.
