The Yates County Community Endowment, in collaboration with the Rochester Area Community Foundation, awarded $155,300 in grants to 22 non-profit organizations serving the county. The grants will support a variety of programs addressing food insecurity, housing, education, and community health.
Among the largest recipients is Dundee Fresh Grocery, which received $40,000 to increase access to fresh produce for food-insecure residents in southern Yates County. Other notable grants include $15,000 to Keuka Housing Council for expanding affordable housing programs and $11,500 to Milly’s Pantry for a pilot youth cooking and nutrition education program.
Since its inception in 2011, the Yates County Community Endowment has distributed over $700,000 in grants. This year’s funding was bolstered by several affiliate funds, reflecting a growing commitment to addressing local challenges and improving the quality of life for Yates County residents.
