Leadership Tompkins, a leadership development program offered by the Tompkins Chamber, is accepting applications for its upcoming ten-month session. This program, designed to cultivate leadership skills in community members, will include monthly sessions and a two-day retreat starting this fall.
Jennifer Tavares, President of the Tompkins Chamber Foundation, emphasized the importance of leadership development for the community’s future. Scholarships are available, with a focus on supporting BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled, and immigrant participants.
Deb Mohlenhoff, Ithaca’s City Manager and longtime program facilitator, said the initiative combines leadership training with discussions on local issues, and she’s eager to build on the success of last year’s class.
