A Horseheads woman who admitted to stealing $36,000 from her Schuyler County employer has been sentenced to jail time. Jerri Thomas pleaded guilty to grand larceny in May and has since paid back $18,000 in restitution.
During her sentencing, Judge Matthew Hayden ordered Thomas to serve 90 days in jail and to pay the remaining restitution over the course of her five-year probation.
The name of the employer from which Thomas stole the funds has not been disclosed.
