Syracuse suffers first loss of season, falls to Stanford on last-second field goal (full coverage)

The Syracuse football team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 26-24 to Stanford on Friday night at the JMA Wireless Dome.

The Orange (2-1) took a 24-23 lead with 3:13 remaining in regulation as Kyle McCord found Jackson Meeks for a 13-yard touchdown.

However, the Cuse defense could not get a stop as the Cardinals converted on a 4th and 9 from the Syracuse 45-yard line and got into field goal range for Emmet Kenney, who drilled one right down the middle from 39 yards to give Stanford the win.
