The New York Mets (85-69) had their four-game win streak snapped with a 12-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies (92-62) on Friday night at Citi Field.
Despite getting clobbered, the Mets did not lose any ground in the Wild Card standings as the Atlanta Braves also lost to the Miami Marlins.
New York jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first on Jose Iglesias’ leadoff home run and Brandon Nimmo’s run-scoring groundout but Philadelphia scored 12 unanswered runs.

David Peterson allowed five runs, Adam Ottavino surrendered three, while Huascar Brazoban and Danny Young each gave up two.
