Arcides Castillo-Dieguez, 59, of Rochester, NY, was sentenced to 210 months in federal prison for his role in a large-scale fentanyl distribution operation. U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr. handed down the sentence following Castillo-Dieguez’s conviction for possession with intent to distribute more than 400 grams of fentanyl.
During a May 2023 investigation, authorities executed search warrants at three Rochester locations tied to Castillo-Dieguez, seizing over four kilograms of fentanyl, fentanyl analogues, and heroin. One of the sites was used as a day care facility, further heightening the severity of the case. This marks Castillo-Dieguez’s sixth felony conviction related to drug trafficking.
The investigation involved multiple agencies, including the DEA, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Rochester Police Department, and the Greater Rochester Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (GRANET).
