The Buffalo Sabres agreed to a two-year contract with restricted free-agent forward Peyton Krebs, carrying an average annual value of $1.45 million, the team revealed on Tuesday.
Krebs played a personal-best 80 games last season, recording four goals and 17 points, with an average ice time of 12:30 per game.
He was acquired by the Sabres from the Golden Knights in November 2021 as part of the deal that sent Jack Eichel to Vegas. The Golden Knights initially selected Krebs with the 17th pick in the 2019 NHL Draft.
At 23 years old, Krebs has accumulated 20 goals and 66 points across 215 NHL games.
As of now, Buffalo has just under $7 million in cap space, according to PuckPedia.
