Women and girls of color are invited to gather for the 18th annual A Call to Women of Color event in Rochester, taking place from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Roundhouse Pavilion in Genesee Valley Park. The event, organized by women of color for women of color, aims to foster unity, healing, and empowerment through shared experiences and discussions on healthy living.
This year’s theme, “Incredible Women, Incredible Vision, Incredible Sisterhood: Tapestries of Generations,” will feature local speakers sharing stories of inspiration. Activities include musical performances, poetry, yoga, and dancing. Health screenings, including mammograms and HIV testing, will be provided by local health organizations throughout the day.
