Deputies say a domestic incident led to the arrest of a Palmyra man after he violated an active court order, tampered with evidence by trying to hide a 30-round magazine, and possessed two firearms illegally.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Christopher J. Kendrick-Negron, 28, following a domestic dispute at his residence on State Route 21 in Palmyra on Wednesday. Deputies allege that Kendrick-Negron physically assaulted the protected party of a “Refrain From” Order of Protection, prompting the victim to call 911.
During the investigation, Kendrick-Negron was found in possession of two firearms, violating the order of protection.
He also signed a false statement and attempted to hide a bag of 30-round magazines behind his residence.
Kendrick-Negron was taken to the Wayne County Jail and is facing several charges, including third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence, first- and second-degree criminal contempt, harassment, and unlawful possession of certain ammunition feeding devices.
