The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports a motorcycle accident on Smith Road in the Town of Junius on Wednesday at approximately 6:49 p.m. Deputies, along with the Junius Fire Department and North Seneca Ambulance, responded to the scene.
Authorities determined that Ethan Atnip, 25, of Lyons was traveling southbound on Smith Road when he lost control of his motorcycle, resulting in his ejection from the vehicle. Atnip was treated on scene by North Seneca Ambulance and later airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital for further treatment of his injuries.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
