James Cook scores three first-half touchdowns as Bills roll past Dolphins to start season 2-0 (full coverage)

James Cook ran for two touchdowns and hauled in one through the air as the Buffalo Bills rolled past the Miami Dolphins, 31-10, on Thursday night at Hard Rock Stadium to start the season 2-0.

Cook, who carried the ball 11 times for 78 yards, became the third Bills player to score three touchdowns in a single game against the Dolphins in the last five seasons, joining Stefon Diggs (2023) and Isaiah McKenzie (2020).

Josh Allen completed 13 of his 19 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown, which went to Cook for 17 yards. Khalil Shakir led the team in receptions (5) and receiving yards (54).

Ja’Marcus Ingram tallied two interceptions, including a 31-yard pick-six. Christian Benford also picked off Tua Tagovailoa, who ended up leaving the game with a concussion. Ed Oliver and Von Miller added sacks, while Damar Hamlin led the team in total tackles with eight.

Tyler Bass converted on a 43-yard field goal and missed from 45.

Terrel Bernard left the game in the first quarter with a pectoral injury and did not return.

Sean McDermott improved to 14-2 against Miami since 2017 when he became Buffalo’s head coach, while Mike McDaniel fell to 1-5 against the Bills.
