The first-ever Harvest Punch Festival will take place this Saturday, September 14, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Littletree Orchards in Newfield. Organized by Ben Stieler, founder of the Apple Cow Lips Company, the family-friendly event will feature clown and puppetry performances in the orchard’s natural setting. Admission is based on a “pay as you want” donation model.
Performers include groups like Ithaca’s Lily Pad Puppet Theater and Vermont’s Buoyant Heart Collective. In addition to the performances, the event will coincide with the opening of Littletree’s “U-Pick” apple season, making it a unique blend of art and nature.
Stieler expressed his desire to celebrate the orchard, a place where his journey in clowning and puppetry began. The festival is supported by grants from the New York State Council on the Arts and the Tompkins County Community Arts Partnership.
