The M&T Bank Clothesline Art Festival is set to return to Rochester’s Memorial Art Gallery (MAG) on September 7 and 8, bringing together over 300 artists from across the country. This juried festival, now in its 60th year, serves as MAG’s largest fundraiser and a key event celebrating the arts in the community. Festivalgoers will have the opportunity to purchase artwork, enjoy live entertainment, and explore the museum’s offerings throughout the weekend.
In addition to showcasing art, attendees are encouraged to bring donations of toiletries and personal care items to support Sample Soap, an organization aiding those experiencing homelessness, trauma, or hardship. Collection boxes will be placed at the festival’s two entrances.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at MAG’s expansive grounds, with interviews available with easy access savings and key organizers, including representatives from M&T Bank and the Memorial Art Gallery.
