Cohocton Man Arrested for Criminal Contempt at Ontario County Jail

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Cohocton man following an incident at the Ontario County Jail.

Sean R. Biery, 28, of Cohocton, was arrested by deputies on Saturday for Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor.

The arrest followed an investigation into a letter Biery allegedly sent from the Ontario County Jail to a protected party listed on a court-issued order of protection. Biery was held at the Ontario County Jail pending a CAP arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Phelps Town Court at a later date to face the charge.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident to ensure compliance with the court’s protective orders.
