The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-car accident on August 30 on Belcher Road in the Town of Richmond.
The driver, 19-year-old Serena Z. Smith of Lima, NY, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and sustained minor injuries.
Smith lost control of her car while traveling westbound on the freshly graveled road, causing the vehicle to slide off the roadway and strike a nearby tree.
She was transported to Thompson Hospital by a personal vehicle. Smith was issued a traffic citation for moving unsafely from her lane.
