A 72-year-old Honeoye woman was injured Wednesday afternoon in a collision with a tractor-trailer at a busy intersection in West Bloomfield, authorities said.
The accident occurred around 2 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 5 and 20 and County Road 37, when a truck driven by Jerry Garrison, 31, of Huffman, Texas, failed to stop at a red light. Cecile O’Brien was driving southbound on County Road 37 when her Nissan SUV struck the rear axle of Garrison’s eastbound tractor-trailer.
O’Brien was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Honeoye Falls Ambulance with leg lacerations, according to police. Garrison was issued traffic citations for failing to obey a traffic control device.
