The Lyons Central School Athletic Hall of Fame has unveiled its Class of 2024, celebrating six standout athletes and two historic teams. This year’s honorees include Laura (Maddock) Collins (Class of 2010), Derick Fera (Class of 2012), Jamie Downing (Class of 1992), Randy Wadhams (Class of 1977), Joseph Kemp (Class of 1996), and Abigail (Shields) Balschmiter (Class of 2014). Additionally, the 1994-1995 Boys Basketball Team and the 2004-2005 Girls Basketball Team will be recognized for their achievements.
The induction ceremony is set for Saturday, October 5, at Club 86 in Geneva, starting with appetizers at 5 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner and ceremony at 6 p.m. Tickets are available for $35 at the Lyons Middle/High School.
