Residents of Steuben County are grappling with the aftermath of severe flooding caused by the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby. The flooding, which struck Canisteo and surrounding areas on Friday, left homes and vehicles submerged, forcing many to evacuate.
Governor Kathy Hochul visited the region on Sunday, pledging state support and assistance for homeowners filing insurance claims.
