Peachtown Elementary School has formally requested Wells College to donate the campus cottage it has rented since 1992, as the college prepares to close and liquidate its assets.
According to The Citizen, the school’s petition urges the college’s board of trustees to grant the property. It has garnered 959 signatures as of Monday. With the new school year approaching, advocates expressed confidence in Peachtown’s future, noting alternative options if the donation or sale does not proceed.
Founded in 1990, Peachtown relocated to the Wells College campus two years later. The arrangement has long benefited both institutions, offering mutual educational resources.
