Mozaic, a nonprofit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Cayuga, Seneca, and Yates counties, will officially open its $3 million Center for Community, Arts, and Technology in Auburn on August 28.
The 11,000-square-foot facility at 180 North St. features a new home for Mozaic’s Spotlight Studios, offering expanded programs in music, theater, art, and more. The center also includes a gaming room, dance studio, and theater space, with plans to introduce new classes like yoga and photography later this month.
The renovation was funded through state grants and donations from local organizations. Mozaic is also partnering with the Rochester Institute of Technology to develop robotics and video game creation programs for the center.
