A Yates County man was arrested Thursday at the Chemung County Jail on a warrant for criminal contempt. James D. Farmer Jr. was taken into custody by Yates County Sheriff’s deputies following an incident that occurred on July 5 in the Town of Starkey.
Deputies S. Walker and P. Skelly executed the arrest warrant at approximately 1:19 p.m. Farmer was transported to the Yates County Jail, where he is being held pending his appearance in CAP Court.
The arrest was coordinated with Chemung County Corrections and was confirmed by Sgt. Daggett of the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
