The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a Member Milestone Celebration for Heart of Gold Veterinary Care, PLLC’s new facility on Thursday. Located at 3858 State Route 14a, the clinic, which opened earlier this year, welcomed guests with tours, refreshments, and animal meet-and-greets. The new facility features six treatment rooms, two private comfort rooms, and separate entrances for dogs and cats.
Owner Dr. Jessica Gulvin, who graduated from Ohio State University’s veterinary program in 2019, founded Heart of Gold as a mobile operation to address the lack of large animal veterinary care in the area. She later expanded to include small animal care, culminating in the construction of the new clinic in 2023. The facility also includes contributions from her father, Rick Gulvin.

Dr. Gulvin expressed gratitude to her family for their support in realizing her dream. She highlighted her grandmother, Marilyn Jensen, for securing the land and her parents, Rick and Elisha Gulvin, for their unwavering support. An official Grand Opening, featuring tours, activities, and a chicken BBQ, is scheduled for Saturday, August 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more details, visit Heart of Gold Veterinary Care’s Facebook page or call (585) 738-7852.
