A motorcycle crash on South Avenue in Manchester left one man injured Wednesday afternoon. Deputies from Ontario County responded to the scene around 12:15 p.m. after a 2000 Yamaha motorcycle, driven by Ryan Thomas, 29, of Canandaigua, collided with a 2021 Kai sedan.
The sedan, operated by Francis Montmarquet, 73, of Shortsville, was slowing down to park when Thomas rear-ended it, causing him to be ejected from his motorcycle. Thomas sustained injuries to his hand and upper torso and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Shortsville Ambulance.
Authorities cited Thomas for unlicensed operation and following too closely.
