Two people were injured Sunday afternoon in a two-car crash at the intersection of Route 34B and Fleming Scipio Townline Road, officials said. One of the victims was initially reported unconscious following the 2:30 p.m. accident, prompting a swift emergency response.
Units from the Fleming Fire Department, including Ambulance and Rescue squads, managed patient care and vehicle hazards. Auburn City Ambulance transported one patient to Auburn Community Hospital, while another was treated and released on-site. The Aurelius Fire Department, Southern Cayuga Ambulance, New York State Police, and Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
Authorities cleared the scene by 3:15 p.m. The crash is under investigation by the New York State Police and Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office to determine the cause of the collision.
